Khosrov Harutyunyan has 20 years of experience working on USAID projects. His expertise lies in navigating complex regulatory environments, leading teams, and establishing collaboration with both local and international experts.
He graduated from the Faculty of Linguistics (English and Russian) at Gyumri Pedagogical University.
Subsequently, he graduated from the American University of Armenia (a branch of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)), receiving a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations.
His career began significantly at Barents Group LLC on the USAID/Tax, Financial and Customs Reform Program, as an Office Manager and IT Consultant Assistant.
He then held the position of Chief Office Manager on the USAID/Tax, Financial and Customs Reform Project at Barents Group LLC, followed by the position of Chief Office Manager/Customs Expert on the USAID/Commercial Law and Economic Regulation Program (CLERP).
Moving to Abu Dhabi (UAE), he worked as the Head of IT Security and Logistics Manager at Golden Goal Undertaking & Services LLC, performing a range of duties from supervising various departments to developing company policies and advising on automated systems.
His next job was in Armenia as a Policy Coordinator for the USAID Clean Energy and Water Program (CEWP), and then as the Water Policy Component Lead on the USAID ASPIRED project.
He began working as an Institutional Development and Capacity Building Specialist at Deloitte’s Urban Foundation (AIWM) project, funded by USAID/Armenia. Simultaneously, he assumed the role of Project Manager at URBAN Foundation for Sustainable Development, overseeing drinking water and public school renovation projects in the village of Gargar.
Since December 2024, he has been the Head of the Hydrological Research and Modeling with GIS Mapping program of the Debed River, with the aim of supporting the transport sector in the Lori and Tavush regions, at “GEOINFO” company.
